Again, card no. 2 ready to go out to my little cupcake, err< I mean, daughter the missionary. 🙂
I adore this layering stamp set from Stampin’ UP!, Sweet Cupcake…. I have used this so much!

Stampin’ Up’s Just Sayin’ Wood Mount Stamp set, this is new and unused. A retired favorite of mine. In addition I’m throwing in two of my favorite colors of Hero Arts Inks Tide Pool and Orange Soda.
For a little New Year’s fun I created a card using one of Stampin’ Up’s new sets, It’s a Celebration:
A crazy watercolor wash serves as the base to my bright white fireworks, while some subtly embossed fireworks pull the white background into the framework of the eye catching centerpiece.
Let’s continue the celebration by going on to each and every blog on the list below where there are giveaways galore and inspiration beyond your expectations. Go on…. take some time for yourself and see what is going on with the rest of the Season’s Givings Blog Hop!

A Stampin’ Up! set, Market Fresh, is front and center on my card today. I must be yearning for a warm spring and some fresh fruit… just looking at this card makes me hungry for strawberries.
Watercoloring seemed to be the perfect fit for this set. Giving the strawberries that “almost” perfectly ripe look was easily done with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I used water color paper for maximum blend-a-bilitiy without overworking the paper.
Twine is making a comeback of sorts in my card making. I seem to be using it quite a bet, especially the black and white. Happy creating my friends,
Visiting the panda on the couch again… this time bumped up a few notches, adding in red pillows, red/white twine & a little carpet to ground the image.
Happy creating my friends,
A panda a day keeps the doctor away. as if. Well at least it might bring a smile to a sick friends sad face.
I combined two stamp sets here: Pandamonium from Mama Elephant and On My Couch & On My Couch Additions from Papertrey Ink. Curving the sentiment adds to the playful nature of the card.
Happy creating my friends,
Today I am visiting the design I used earlier this week, with a cat interacting with a greeting. This time I went with the latest color challenge at My Favorite Things.
I used two stamp sets from MFT: Bold Statements and I Knead You. I didnt’ use their specific inks, but I did have coordinating colors from Stampin’ UP!: Pistachio Pudding, Wild Wasabi, and Marigold Morning. Again, my Misti played a key roll in getting everything to line-up.
Happy creating my friends,
We are FULL of snow here in Utah. That’s the way I like it. If the weather is going to bother to be cold I’d like there to be white stuff all around. January can be darned depressing with dry dead grass and trees as far as the eye can see. That pretty white stuff makes for gorgeous covering until spring arrives with it’s fresh greens. White is the inspiration for me today.
White card stock, and embossing folder, my handy Hello die and some cheery sky blue ink were all I needed to create this fast card.
After layering all the pieces I simply sponged some blue ink onto the card front.
Happy creating my friends.
oh the challenges… this sketch has so many possibilities. Once I stared at it for a while with a few of my MFT stamps close by the layers started to unfold. First came the woodgrain, next the word CELEBRATE. Of course I had to shadow it with some gray ink before stamping it in black. Then the greeting below. I actually sampled quite a few different choices, finally landing on a die cut word LOVE. The hearts mirror the tiny dots on the sketch, complimented by a swish or two with my Wink of Stella pen. Done. Happy with it? yes. 🙂 Well, almost. I cut around the letters of the word that came off the edges of the woodgrain before I mounded it on the card front with foam tape. Done now? Yes. For sure.

Today’s card brings back that cute little elephant stamp & die set Unforgettable from WPlus9. I actually combined three different stamp sets here to create a card that isn’t gender specific. Making feminine cards with flowers and pretty things comes easily to most stampers, we often neglect to make cards for the men in our lives — at least the men who aren’t big fans of flowery stuff. My dad loves a good bouquet on a card with gooey talk oozing on the inside. 🙂
The elephant was stamped, die cut and colored with SU! Blendabilities two times. I actually snipped the head off of the second and layered over the first to make his cute little noggin pop to life.
My Misti came in quite handy with the three different images underneath the elephant. Celebrate comes from the set Celebrate Big from My Favorite Things. The stars and other greeting comes from Lil’ Inker’s You’re Invited stamp set.
Happy stamping to you my friends, please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by!
