Elephants. Who would think I’d be so taken by such an animal?! When I saw this super sweet stamp set from WPlus9, Unforgettable, I had a moment of internal little girl squealing.
First the SU! Blendabilites came out to brighten this tiny stamped darling. Sad to say, but — SU! has discontinued them. Non the less I’m working on my alcohol marker skills in hopes of procuring a set of Copic markers in the near future. In the VERY near future. In the meantime I am having a stellar time experimenting with coloring again.
The die cut balloon is slipped into two slits cut on either side of his little trunk. Backed by polka dot embossed card stock the little guy pops. Did you notice the color choice I made? Olive green? yah I like to push the color envelope. I really think this combination works.
Thanks for visiting!
Some teeny-tiny valentines here.
What is more precious than a valentine? a little-itty-bitty one of course! Last night I sat at my desk with a new stamp set with a coordinating die from Recollections. How could I resist making these cards and envelopes, I am going to make a stack and send them out to all my nieces and nephews to let them know I’m thinking of them. Why go big when you can go small, right? 🙂
What I like about Cath’s new blog is the freedom the create as you’d wish, I invite you to check it out and enjoy the creative ride she’s sure to take you on — Hip & Hooray.
Cath’s first inspiration piece…
My project, I was a mix of ideas. I’ve been wanting to use some feather files on my Silhouette, then I saw a gift my daughter had made for me many years ago… a dream catcher. So I created my own cut files and a different kind of birthday card was born. I love the idea of making and giving something that can be hung and/or displayed. But being made out of paper, the recipient doesn’t need to keep it forever. Just long enough to spark a smile. I don’t ever want to burden anyone with the idea that they have to keep a handmade item forever. Keep it only as long as it inspires a happy thought.
Sharing some cards that I made for submission purposes… once upon a time when there was a Paper Crafts Magazine.

Valentine’s Day always sneaks up on me.
It’s like I’m still recovering from Christmas, my birthday & New Years.
Then there was a family vacation to Disneyland & L.A. last week.
Wednesday is my son’s 14th birthday, Saturday is my 23rd wedding Anniversary.
Let’s just say that blessings come one right after another as of late. 🙂
Because of my lack of time…. I’m SOOOO glad for Lil’ Inker’s mad skilz….
& our frequent hops involving darling new product.
Laura has come up with some supa’-darling dies and stamps
that make card making so easy. I mean really easy.
This card involves three card stocks, two dies, one stamp and two inks.
The ease of creation and balance lies in the fact that I repeated the colors:
