Why do I wait until the last moment to make birthday cards? Not sure, but I know I usually have to have them out the door before I can photograph them. This is a rarity people, and actual birthday card, photographed and posted before it’s sent out. wow. 😛
I used Hero Arts Tassels set, which I love. Pretty simple, stamped the string then stamped the little tassels. not much to it.
I did curve the greeting to mimic the shape of the string. Also, I tied actual string to the ends of the stamped string to make it look a little more 3-D-ish.
Happy creating friends,
I’ve been waiting for this little cutie, Some Birdie Loves You stamp set from Clearly Besotted, to come back in stock at Simon Says Stamp. Believe me, as soon as I saw it, I grabbed it and checked-out. Isn’t it the cutest little bird ever? and there are several more in the set.
On a funnier note… I totally finished coloring this sweetie and I decided to add some blue to the eye. Big mistake. It made it look like a killer bird, super scary. So out came the googly-eye and I think it looks awesome. Sometimes mistakes make for the best cards, right?
The little hearts were punched from white card stock scrap that I tossed a little coordinating watercolor onto. I layered them on the center of the “O” from Bold Statements by MFT and then pulled out that favorite of mine, Crackle Accents, applied and let dry.
Happy creating my friends,
Elephants. Who would think I’d be so taken by such an animal?! When I saw this super sweet stamp set from WPlus9, Unforgettable, I had a moment of internal little girl squealing.
First the SU! Blendabilites came out to brighten this tiny stamped darling. Sad to say, but — SU! has discontinued them. Non the less I’m working on my alcohol marker skills in hopes of procuring a set of Copic markers in the near future. In the VERY near future. In the meantime I am having a stellar time experimenting with coloring again.
The die cut balloon is slipped into two slits cut on either side of his little trunk. Backed by polka dot embossed card stock the little guy pops. Did you notice the color choice I made? Olive green? yah I like to push the color envelope. I really think this combination works.
Thanks for visiting!
Sharing some cards that I made for submission purposes… once upon a time when there was a Paper Crafts Magazine.

Between the stamps and the die images, I can’t seem to go wrong!
Today I made a tag, super simple again:
Here’s the new product I used on this gift tag:
I am dying over these stick figures, and the font is so fresh.
