The recipe photo:
i have no idea how they got so much powdered sugar to stick. geesh.
because I live at a high altitude and my son likes a sweeter cookie I did augment the recipe a bit: 1) add about 1/4 cup more flour 2) add 1/2 cup granulated sugar 3) lower the temp to 335 degrees.
these are the cookies for you, if you are a dark chocolate-cocoa powder-flavor fan. seriously.
here’s a link to the recipe.

Valentine Time

A mish-mash of new products to experiment with and stretch my creative flow today. I’ve been meaning to buy some of the Tim Holtz Distress Ink minis, today is the day to try them out. Next to it is an experiment of sorts. When I was a concept artist for Stampin’ Up! I’d try out new possible products and give my two cents. I will certainly let you all know how it goes. Then the kiss stamp, super darling, right? The embossing powder is to replace my old SU! stash. Believe me, it eventually goes bad….FullSizeRender 182

Sweater Weather Wreath

A new bit of Fall into Winter.

My friend Cath…

What I like about Cath’s new blog is the freedom the create as you’d wish, I invite you to check it out and enjoy the creative ride she’s sure to take you on — Hip & Hooray.

Cath’s first inspiration piece…

My project, I was a mix of ideas. I’ve been wanting to use some feather files on my Silhouette, then I saw a gift my daughter had made for me many years ago… a dream catcher. So I created my own cut files and a different kind of birthday card was born. I love the idea of making and giving something that can be hung and/or displayed. But being made out of paper, the recipient doesn’t need to keep it forever. Just long enough to spark a smile. I don’t ever want to burden anyone with the idea that they have to keep a handmade item forever. Keep it only as long as it inspires a happy thought.Ā IMG_4469

Tin Can Upcycle

Sharing some cards that IĀ made for submission purposes… once upon a time when there was a Paper Crafts Magazine.

Some recycled tin cans, torn fabric strips and coordinating card stock make for a cute little desk set.
